jupyter-core software package provides Core common functionality of Jupyter projects (tools), you can install in your Ubuntu 17.04 (Zesty Zapus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jupyter-core
jupyter-core is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jupyter-core package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jupyter-core *
You will get with jupyter-core package name, version, architecture and description in a table
